Barbara Uggen-Davis, CFO

Barbara Uggen-Davis, CMA, CPA, is a cross-functional leader with over 35 years of experience in accounting, operations, and human resources. Prior to joining LiftBridge, Barbara spent 12 years at Elevate Ventures, with 10 years as CFO. Barbara streamlined financial operations by outsourcing payroll to a PEO, developing written procedures to improve efficiency and creating a cash flow forecasting model that provided a better understanding of cash requirements for the CEO and Board. She also served on the investment committee, evaluating potential investment targets. Over Barbara’s tenure at Elevate, 558 Startups were funded in Indiana with $171.6 M deployed in the market.

At LiftBridge, Barbara focuses on serving the nonprofit industry. As a former nonprofit CFO and through her service on nine nonprofit boards, Barbara helps clients leverage financial information for operational decision-making. Additionally, Barbara is passionate about mentoring the next generation of financial leaders. She has taught seminars on accounting basics and fraud prevention at various institutions.

Barbara dedicates 500 hours annually to volunteering in disaster services, disabilities, refugee and immigrant services, animal welfare, and the performing arts.

Barbara holds an MBA in Business Information Systems and a BA in Accounting. Despite her West Coast roots, she proudly embraces being a “Hoosier by Choice” since 2007. When she’s not immersed in spreadsheets, you’ll find Barbara volunteering her time to make a difference in the community.
