Barb Claassen, CFO

Barb Claassen is a seasoned financial executive with over three decades of experience spanning public accounting, private industry, and publicly traded corporations. Her career reflects a consistent trajectory of leadership in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments—particularly those backed by private equity—where she has driven transformative growth, operational excellence, and strategic transactions.
Most recently as VP, Controller at Preparis, Inc., Barb participated in the successful divestiture of Agility Recovery Solutions in 2023 and the sale of Preparis in 2024, overseeing quality of earnings, purchase accounting, and multi-currency consolidation. Prior to that, she was CFO of Formulary Insights, Inc. where she helped secure their initial funding, created their infrastructure, capital strategy, financial operations, and compliance.
Barb’s M&A credentials are extensive, including a $362.5 million acquisition by Grand Canyon Education, Inc. during her tenure at Orbis Education Services. She has partnered with various top-tier investment banks and worked closely with various private equity firms.
Her expertise spans P&L management, M&A readiness, systems implementation, GAAP compliance, purchase accounting, foreign currency, and benefit administration. She has held CFO and VP roles across various sectors including SaaS, healthcare education, publishing, and software, consistently delivering results through strategic planning, process improvement, and cross-functional leadership.
Barbara holds a B.S. in Accounting from Butler University. She is known for her integrity, precision, and ability to lead finance teams through rapid growth, and complex transitions with clarity and confidence.
Barbara lives in Noblesville and enjoys spending time with her family, reading and watching sports especially Sunday Colts football.
